Enable 'SNMP remote access' in the router

Needed for the functionality of the portal DevicePro (via SIMPro ) or mCOP 2.0:

In order to View the router status in the portal, the option 'SNMP Remote Access' must be enabled in the router. Below are the necessary steps to activate "SNMP Remote Access" for Teltonika Router and Advantech Router.

Teltonika Router

Steps to activate 'SNMP Remote Access':

  1. Log into the WebUI using a web browser.
  2. Enable the Advanced mode (top):
  3. Under System -> Package Manager, check if the SNMP-Package is installed on the router:If the SNMP package is not present, installation is required. For this, the router must have internet access, for example, via a SIM card or an internet router connected to the WAN port. The SNMP package can then be easily searched for using the search field with snmp and installed by selecting "Install".                                                 Alternatively, the SNMP package can be downloaded from the Teltonika homepage and installed using the "Upload package" option.
  4. Under Services -> SNMP -> SNMP agent settings, enable the options 'Enable SNMP service' and 'Enable remote access' and click on 'Save & Apply':
  5. The SNMP remote access is now activated, allowing the portal to read data from the router and display it in the router cards.
  6. Recommended security settings (optional):
Particularly when using a public IP address, it is advisable for security reasons to restrict SNMP remote access to specific source IP addresses via portal.
Under Network -> Firewall -> Traffic Rules click at 'SNMP_WAN_Access' on 'Edit':Now enter the following IP address ranges under Source IP address:
    Source IP address: Info:
185.39.176.84/30  SNMP remote access via DevicePro (and mCOP 2.0)
185.39.176.88/29   SNMP remote access via DevicePro (and mCOP 2.0)
185.39.178.84/30  SNMP remote access via DevicePro (and mCOP 2.0)
185.39.178.88/29  SNMP remote access via DevicePro (and mCOP 2.0)
46.16.216.10  SNMP remote access via mCOP
