Local Access to the Router Web Interface (WebUI)

Please follow these steps to access the router's web interface (WebUI) for configuration:

1. Set your PC's IP address within the router's IP range.
   • For Windows network adapter setup, see here.
   • If the router has an enabled DHCP server, set your PC to obtain an IP address automatically. 
     Important hints:
     • If the DHCP server assigns an IP already in use, remove the conflicting device. The IP will be freed after the lease expires or router restart.

     • If the router has a mobile data connection, assign a fixed IP without a default gateway to prevent unintended internet access and potential data charges.

        

2. Plug the PC's network cable into any LAN port on the router.

   • All LAN ports on Teltonika routers are suitable.

     
      

   • For Advantech routers, by default only the ETH0 port is enabled as LAN. 

     
      

   • For Advantech routers preconfigured by Wireless Logic mdex, usually both ETH ports are enabled "as bridge" and can be used equivalently.

     

      

3. Open a web browser and enter the URL https:// followed by the router's LAN IP address: https://192.168.1.1
   • If only the LAN IP address (192.168.1.1) is entered in the web browser, the initial access will be via http://192.168.1.1 using HTTP Port 80. For routers with current firmware, an automatic redirection to the router's configured HTTPS server generally occurs.
   • If the router has been preconfigured by Wireless Logic mdex, the HTTPS server of the Teltonika router is set to HTTPS Port 4444.
     1. For router configurations with Teltonika firmware versions up to R_00.07.22, LAN access to the router is via the URL https://192.168.1.1:4444.
     2. For router configurations from Teltonika firmware version R_00.07.23 (23 June 2026) onwards, LAN access to the router is via the URL https://192.168.1.1 (Port 443).

4. The router's login page will open:

5. Enter your username and password to access the router’s web interface (WebUI).
   • Username: admin (Teltonika router) | root (Advantech router)
   • Password: Please enter the current router password.
     • If the router has been reset to factory settings, the standard password printed on the device label on the underside of the router applies.
     • If the router has been preconfigured by Wireless Logic mdex, a secure password has already been set, which you can find on the enclosed configuration insert and additional label.
