Updating the router APN details

Please configure the APN settings for the inserted SIM card in the router to establish a mobile data and internet connection. You will find instructions for the following router models below:

Advantech Routers

Teltonika Routers

The procedure varies depending on the Teltonika firmware version. Below are the corresponding guides for:
Current Teltonika Firmware
Older Teltonika Firmware
 

Current Teltonika Firmware

1. Log into the router; see also Local Access to the Router Web Interface (WebUI).
2. Navigate to Network -> Mobile -> General and select the tab SIM1 or SIM2 (for dual-SIM routers).
   
    
3. Configure the following settings:
   • Auto APN: Off
   • APN: Enter the valid SIM card APN, e.g., 'wlapn.com' or 'eapn1.net'.
   • Authentication type: PAP
   • Username: Enter the SIM card's username.
   • Password: Enter the SIM card password (not applicable for mdex/Wireless Logic SIM cards).
     
4. Confirm your entries by clicking 'SAVE & APPLY'.

5. SIM cards from Wireless Logic and mdex are typically delivered without an active PIN protection.

   However, if a SIM card with enabled SIM-PIN protection is used, the current SIM PIN must be entered under Network > Mobile in the SIM configuration section within the PIN field.

   

   Tip: Deactivate/unlock SIM PIN using the router

6. After a few seconds, the changes should be applied, and your router should be connected to the internet.

Older Teltonika Firmware

1. Log into the router; see also Local Access to the Router Web Interface (WebUI).
2. APN settings can only be adjusted under Network > WAN. For SIM1, click the 'Edit' button next to the interface "mob1S1a1", or for SIM2 on dual-SIM routers, next to "mob1s2a1".
   
   
    
3. Configure the following settings:
   • Auto APN: Off
   • APN: Enter the APN of the SIM card, for example, 'wlapn.com' or 'eapn1.net'.
   • Authentication type: PAP
   • Username: Enter the SIM card's username.
   • Password: Enter the SIM card password (not applicable for mdex/Wireless Logic SIM cards).

2. APN settings can be configured under Configuration -> Mobile WAN for SIM1 (and SIM2 if applicable). 

   • APN: Enter the APN of the SIM card, for example, 'wlapn.com' or 'eapn1.net'.
   • Username: Enter the SIM card's username.
   • Password: Enter the SIM card password (not applicable for mdex/Wireless Logic SIM cards).
   • Authentication: PAP
   • IP Mode: IPv4

   

3. SIM cards from Wireless Logic and mdex are typically delivered without an active PIN protection.

   However, if a SIM card with enabled SIM-PIN protection is utilised, the current SIM-PIN must be entered in the PIN field.

4. Confirm your entries by clicking 'Apply' at the bottom of the page.
5. After a few seconds, the changes should be applied, and your router should be connected to the internet.
