On Apple devices (iPhone/iPad), connection issues may arise when using m2m SIM cards, either as an eSIM profile or physical SIM.
- No connection or only a delayed connection is established.
- The connection is initially established exclusively on the 2G network and only switches to the 4G/5G network after about 30 to 40 minutes.
In such cases, the problem can usually be resolved by loading a configuration profile so that the necessary settings are taken into account by the system.

Install configuration profile on the Apple device
This guide refers to eSIMs and physical SIM cards inserted into the SIM slot of the Apple device (iPhone/iPad).
- Download the attached file required for your SIM card from below in the article under Download configuration profile onto your device or transfer this file from another device (e.g. via email, Dropbox, etc.).
- Run the downloaded file.

Open the Settings on the device.

Click on 'Profile Downloaded' and 'Install' and install the configuration profile (see screenshot).
- Please note that Wireless Logic SIM cards (Conexa, KPN, Telenor DK, ...) are roaming SIM cards. Therefore, data roaming must be enabled on the device (iPhone/iPad) to establish a mobile data connection.
- Please restart the device once; afterwards, depending on availability, the connection should be established immediately on the 4G/5G network.
Note on manual eSIM activation
Other manufacturers usually use a "one-line format," which consists of the SM-DP+ address and activation code and is structured as follows: LPA:1$SM-DP+address$activation code
However, for manual eSIM setup (activation) on an iPhone/iPad, the Apple-specified format must be followed, which must be entered in 2 lines:
- SM-DP+address
- activation code
