How to enable/disable an IMEI lock

Please note that SIMPro users do not have permissions to enable or disable IMEI locks by default. If you require this access, please contact your local support team, who will be happy to assist further.

 

 

How to enable an IMEI lock

 

  1. Log into SIMPro
    Login to the SIMPro platform by navigating to our website, and then logging in on in the top right-hand corner of the screen.
  2. Navigate to the Subscriptions page
    Click onto Subscriptions within the menu on the left-hand side of the screen
  3. Select the SIM(s) to IMEI lock
    Select the SIM or SIMs using the tick box on the left-hand side.
  4. Click 'More Actions'
    Click the More Actions button on the right-hand side of the screen. The tab will highlight to action requests once SIMs have been selected.
  5. Click 'Enable IMEI Locking' 
    Select Enable IMEI Locking
  6. *Optional* enter a customer reference
    Enter a reference in the text box. This can be anything to help you identify the request you are making.
  7. *Optional* enter customer notes 
    Enter any notes (if applicable) 
  8. Click 'Create Request'
    Click the Create Request button at the top right-hand side of the screen.

 

 

 

How to disable an IMEI lock

 

  1. Log into SIMPro
    Login to the SIMPro platform by navigating to our website, and then logging in on in the top right-hand corner of the screen.
  2. Navigate to the Subscriptions page
    Click onto Subscriptions within the menu on the left-hand side of the screen
  3. Select the SIM(s) to IMEI lock
    Select the SIM or SIMs using the tick box on the left-hand side.
  4. Click 'More Actions'
    Click the More Actions button on the right-hand side of the screen. The tab will highlight to action requests once SIMs have been selected.
  5. Click 'Disable IMEI Locking' 
    Select Enable IMEI Locking
  6. *Optional* enter a customer reference
    Enter a reference in the text box. This can be anything to help you identify the request you are making.
  7. *Optional* enter customer notes 
    Enter any notes (if applicable) 
  8. Click 'Create Request'
    Click the Create Request button at the top right-hand side of the screen.

    Note: If an IMEI lock has been applied to a SIM, a full bar will also be added. Removing the IMEI lock does not automatically remove this bar, so the bar must be cleared through a separate request. Please follow this link for instructions on how to submit a bar removal request.
