We especially recommend creating a backup of the current router configuration after receiving routers preconfigured by Wireless Logic. With this backup file, you will be able to independently restore the router to its delivery state, for example, if the router has been reset to factory settings or if there is a misconfiguration.

Here are the methods to back up or restore the router configuration file.
Backup configuration
- Log in to the router; see also Local Access to the Router Web Interface (WebUI).

Under System -> Maintenance -> Backup, you can download the backup file (*.tar.gz) by clicking 'Download' under "Create backup".
With 'Encrypt', the backup file can be encrypted with a password.
Restore configuration
- Log in to the router; see also Local Access to the Router Web Interface (WebUI).

Under System -> Maintenance -> Backup, you can select a previously saved backup file (*.tar.gz) by clicking 'Browse' under "Upload backup" and upload it to the router.
If the backup file is encrypted with a password, the 'Encrypted' option must be enabled and the corresponding password for the backup file entered.

Under Administration -> Backup Configuration, you can download the backup file (*.cfg) by clicking 'Save Backup' under "Create backup".
By setting a password under 'Encryption Password', the backup file (*.cfg) can be encrypted.
Restore configuration
- Log in to the router; see also Local Access to the Router Web Interface (WebUI).

Under Administration -> Restore Configuration, a previously saved backup file can be selected by clicking 'Browse' and uploaded to the router.
If the backup file (*.cfg) is encrypted with a password, the corresponding password must be entered under 'Decryption password'.
