An existing web.direct link can be customised by clicking on the 'Edit' button:
Please note that web.direct links are stored in redundant systems for stability and availability. Changes may take up to five minutes to become fully functional.
In the "Simple view", most necessary adjustments are already possible.

Name and Display of the web.direct Link
In the section Settings, the name of the web.direct link can be adjusted:
- The URL alias must be unique from other web.direct links but does not affect their functionality.
- You can also customise the icon of the web.direct link.

Port & Protocol for Remote Access
In the section mdex Gateway -> Device, there is the option to specify an alternative port and/or a different protocol that is configured for remote access in the mobile router or the connected device.
Security settings (Authentication)
By default, all web.direct links are created using the "Link Password" authentication method. This means that when accessing a web.direct link, the corresponding web.direct password must be entered first. The authentication method can be changed in the section Browser -> mdex Gateway:
