In the mCOP 2.0 user management section under Users → Administer user, you have the option to add new users, manage existing users, or remove users.
The user management is only available in the mCOP 2.0 portal (mcop.mdex.de).
However, the created users can log in to both the mCOP (manager.mdex.de) and mCOP 2.0 (mcop.mdex.de) portals. You can access both portals with the same login details.
If you do not have access to user management in mCOP 2.0, please contact Technical Support via Contact so we can grant you the necessary permissions.
Create a New User
- Log in to the mCOP 2.0 portal and click on Users → Administer user.
- Now click at the top on + Create new User.
- Under 'Required Information' the following fields must be completed:
- Username (Login): Email address of the new user

Username: First and last name of the new user
The remaining information can either be left as previously shown or customised as needed.

Under 'User groups' you can select the desired permissions for the user under 'Available Groups' and move them to 'Selected Groups' by clicking the right arrow.
Available Groups:

Admin Full access with all permissions for using and administering the portal, including user management.
Other permissions such as mdexAktiveBenachrichtigung, mdexRechnung or mdexAufträgeErteilen are not included here and must be assigned separately if required. - Readonly For use of the portal only (viewing/analysing data), but no admin permissions. Please ensure that no additional permissions are assigned to the user so that the intended restriction remains effective.
- mdexAktiveBenachrichtigung The user receives an email when there are new messages in the portal (e.g. notification of maintenance work or current disruptions). This permission is not included in the other groups (e.g. Admin) and must be assigned separately if required.
- mdexRechnung The user receives mdex invoices. This permission is not included in the other groups (e.g. Admin) and must be assigned separately if required.

mdexAufträgeErteilen The user is authorised to place contractual orders or changes with mdex. This permission is not included in the other groups (e.g. Admin) and must be assigned separately if required.
Depending on the status, further individual permissions may be available here, which can also be assigned as required. A brief explanation appears when you hover your mouse over the respective permission.

By clicking on Create + the user is created and automatically receives an email with further instructions.
