Global Managed Leo Plus - Installation Requirements

Satellite Desktop Availability Check

Before providing a formal quote, a standard availability check is conducted using publicly available satellite supplier coverage maps. This process helps determine satellite coverage in the desired area.

Cellular Desktop Availability Check

For GML products with cellular backup, availability checks rely on mobile coverage data. Tools like Opensignal, nPerf, and CellMapper help assess coverage, identify mobile providers, and determine technology availability.

Included On-Site Survey

All standard GML installations include an on-site survey covering six key evaluation areas:

  • Location, layout, and antenna placement

  • Antenna mounting

  • External and internal cabling

  • Indoor device placement

  • Speed test

  • Regulatory, security and clearances

Our service delivery team coordinates with the customer and Local Site Contact (LCON) to schedule the on-site survey. Prerequisite clearances and identification are essential for a successful survey.

Site Survey Report

Following the on-site survey, a Wireless Logic Group Company provides a detailed Site Survey Report. This report includes:

  • Details of the 6 key evaluation areas – with pictures and proposed civil construction work diagrams and illustrations
  • Wireless Logic Group Company Build of Materials (BOM)
  • Customer’s Build of Materials
  • LCON preparatory work
  • Any required security, regulatory or licensing clearances
  • Call to action – on proceeding, cancelling or modifying the order

Sales representatives can provide a sample template of the Site Survey report upon request.

Exclusion of Site Survey

While site surveys are highly recommended, some customers may choose to proceed without one. However, they should be aware of the potential risks, including partially or fully failed installations.

Remember to consult your Account Manager for further details specific inquiries related to installation requirements. Proper planning ensures a successful deployment of communication systems.
