Resolving connection issues when activating eSIM Profiles on Apple devices (APN Configuration)

On some Apple devices (iPhone / iPad), connection issues may occur after activating the eSIM profile due to a firmware setting related to APN selection. In such cases, the problem can usually be resolved by loading a configuration profile so that the necessary settings are taken into account by the system.

Step-by-Step Guide

  1. Download the attached file "eapn1-net.mobileconfig" onto the device where the eSIM profile is to be activated, or transfer the file from another device (e.g., via email, Dropbox, etc.).
  2. Run the downloaded file.
  3. Open the Settings on the device.
  4. Click on 'Profile Downloaded'.
  5. Install the configuration profile.
  6. Please note that the Conexa SIM card is a roaming SIM card. Data roaming must be enabled on your iPhone/iPad in order that the Conexa SIM card can establish a mobile data connection.
  7. The connection should now work, as the device considers the correct APN through the configuration profile.
