The 'mdex Control station device' can be optionally ordered to SIM cards/devices with mdex fixed.IP+ or mdex mobile.LAN managed in the mdex Portal mCOP or mCOP 2.0.
The OpenVPN technology allows integration of any client (PC, smartphone, or tablet) into the 'mdex VPN'. This ensures secure bidirectional remote access from the client via the respective mdex fixed.IP address to all devices within the 'mdex VPN'.
The mobile routers of the fixed.IPs are also able to actively reach the client (PC, smartphone, or tablet) via the mdex IP address of the 'mdex Control station device'.
The 'mdex Control station device' enables bidirectional data transmission between the client (control centre) and the mobile devices in the 'mdex VPN' over all IP-based protocols, including SSH, Telnet, FTP, SMTP, HTTP, RTSP and many more.
Simple Quick Guide
- Order the 'mdex Control station device'.
- Install an OpenVPN client software suitable for your operating system:
- Open VPN GUI for Windows
- OpenVPN Connect for Windows, MacOS, Linux, Android, iOS, ...
- Download the ovpn configuration file and import it into the client software.
- The OpenVPN client connects using the username and password of the 'mdex Control Centre Tunnel'.
- Once the OpenVPN connection is established, the client can remotely access the mdex fixed.IP addresses in the 'mdex VPN'.
